Derek rejoined the firm after serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York from 2019 to 2025. Derek received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, where he served as an articles editor for the Northwestern University Law Review. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from The City College of New York.
