Kate Doniger to Receive 2023 LGBT Bar Association of New York’s Community Excellence Award
Partner Kate Doniger has been selected to receive the LGBT Bar of NY’s Community Excellence Award, which recognizes New York LGBTQ legal professionals, across all fields of practice, for their commitment to the LGBTQ community and for high achievement in the profession.
The Community Excellence Award is recognized as the LGBT Bar Association & Foundation of New York’s ("LeGaL") highest honor and is awarded to individuals with a distinguished record of service to the LGBT community, including a sustained commitment to achieving equal rights for all. The winner of this award is selected by past Community Vision Award recipients in coordination with LeGaL’s board of directors. The awards will be presented at the organization’s annual gala on May 25.
Kate represents companies, financial institutions and individuals in complex civil litigation, internal investigations, and criminal and regulatory enforcement matters. Kate is dedicated to the firm and the community - as one of the firm's assigning partners, Kate mentors young associates as they navigate the firm and their careers. Kate was the firm's 2022 Fellow on the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, and actively participates in firm’s efforts to recruit and promote diverse talent. She serves on the Board of the Stonewall Community Foundation and the Federal Courts Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
