Hecker Fink Obtains Complete Acquittal in Federal Jury Trial in the District of Columbia

On April 27, 2026, Hecker Fink client Jeffrey Britt was acquitted by a jury on a five-count indictment in the United States District Court of the District of Columbia. Mr. Britt had been charged with multiple firearm offenses by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and faced the prospect of significant prison time if convicted. The firm represented Mr. Britt pro bono, securing the favorable verdict following a four-day trial before the Honorable Jia M. Cobb.
