Carmen Iguina González Named 2023 Hispanic Attorney of the Year by the Hispanic Bar Association of DC

Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP congratulates Carmen Iguina González on being named 2023 Hispanic Attorney of the Year by The Hispanic Bar Association of DC.

Carmen's practice focuses on appellate and complex civil litigation with deep experience in administrative, constitutional, and civil rights law. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, and in her many years as a civil rights litigator has achieved groundbreaking court rulings, advocating for the rights of asylum seekers, unaccompanied immigrant children, families, and other immigrants seeking refuge in the United States.

Carmen has served as a law clerk at every level of the federal judiciary, having clerked for the Hon. Sonia Sotomayor of The Supreme Court of the United States, the Hon. Stephen R. Reinhardt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
